excel V+ Laser treatments are not covered by insurance, as they are only used to treat cosmetic spider veins. Medical varicose vein treatments, such as radiofrequency ablation, endovenous laser ablation, and Varithena, are covered by insurance because they address the underlying cause of vein disease (also known as chronic venous insufficiency), and treat symptoms such as varicose veins, poor circulation, and leg swelling. Many patients are surprised to learn that their vein treatment is covered by insurance due to this underlying medical condition—if you have any symptoms in your legs, we always advise patients to come in for an ultrasound vein evaluation to determine if vein treatment would be covered by insurance.
