Milad Asfar, DO, is a board-certified physician specializing in the treatment of spider veins, varicose veins, and the symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where he graduated on the Dean’s List. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. His residency was completed at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, after which he worked as a provider of urgent care and emergency medicine. He has lent his expertise and gentle hand to the service of many hospitals throughout the states of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana — including Marlette Regional Hospital, Ascension St. John Hospital, and the Lutheran and Promedica Hospital Systems.

Dr. Asfar’s background in emergency medicine helped form his unique approach to the treatment of vein diseases: He proactively seeks to address the symptoms of vein disease before they progress to emergency conditions like deep vein thrombosis, venous ulcers, and restricted mobility. Dr. Asfar specializes in minimally invasive vein treatments, providing gentle and effective options for his patients. He expertly performs radiofrequency ablations, ultrasound-guided and visual sclerotherapy, laser vein removal and more. He strives to provide meaningful pain relief, aesthetic improvements, and lasting results to Michigan community patients. He treats a variety of common, uncomfortable symptoms, such as restless legs, leg swelling/edema, leg cramping, tingling or burning sensations, visible veins, pain while standing, and more.

His interest in community service includes volunteering with Habitat For Humanity. He also tutored his peers in anatomy while pursuing his doctorate degree. He speaks both Arabic and English fluently.
