Dr. Maria Elena Fodera, M.D., FCATH, is a Board-certified surgeon and Consulting Vascular Surgical Attending at Eger Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Staten Island and Hamilton Park Rehabilitation Center in Brooklyn. A Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, Vascular Surgery Board, she established the venous duplex protocol for the Vascular Laboratory at St. Vincent’s Hospital, SI region for endovenous closure procedure, and trained vascular technologists. Before joining Metro Vein Centers, Dr. Fodera had her own practice in General and Vascular Surgery with attending privileges at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Staten Island University Hospital, Maimonides Medical Center, Victory Memorial Hospital and SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Fodera is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, University Hospital in Brooklyn.
Dr. Fodera completed her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine. She also graduated Cum Laude from her undergraduate studies at Columbia University.
