Dr. Jordan Garrison is a board certified general surgeon with licensure to practice in both New York and New Jersey. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of venous diseases. Dr. Garrison obtained his undergraduate degree at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA and completed his medical degree at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, NJ in 1982, after in which he went on to complete his general surgery residency in 1989. In 2007-2008, Dr. Garrison fulfilled his fellowship for Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Garrison has held professional positions as Chief Medical Officer, Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery, and the Director of Bariatric Surgery. He has practiced at General Vascular Surgical Associates in Newark, NJ and at the Garrison Center for Healthy Living. He has an extensive teaching history that dates from 1989 to present day, with his teaching field focusing on general surgery, clinical surgery, and is currently a robotic consultant in Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Garrison is a member of multiple professional associations including the American College of Surgeons, National Medical Association, American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons, and the Benjamin F. Rush Surgical Society.
Currently, Dr. Garrison works at his private practice in Jersey City, NJ and practices full time at Metro Vein Centers treating Venous Insufficiency. He has an extensive interest in adult obesity, bariatric surgery, and venous diseases. He has a passion to expand his knowledge and skills to further improve the quality of life for his patients.
