Alexander C. Batchev, D.O. is a board certified physician in Family Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology with over 20 years of experience.
Dr. Batchev completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI and in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. He served in several senior roles at major hospitals, including as member of the Credentials Committee, the Department Chair for Obstetrics & Gynecology and the Medical Executive Committee. He was recognized by peers as a model for best practices and assisted with the implementation of high-quality care initiatives. Dr. Batchev developed an interest in vein disease, now his sole focus, after noticing that many of his OBGYN patients had vascular insufficiency issues but only few received proper care.
“The most rewarding aspect of my job is seeing how happy patients are after I relieve them from the discomfort of vein disease. I trained in two other specialties prior to devoting myself full-time to vein care and I thoroughly enjoy dedicating all my energies to this often-neglected area of medicine.”
Dr. Batchev completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and his medical education at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. He is a member of the American College of Phlebology, American Osteopathic Association and Michigan Osteopathic Association.
